How to Prevent the Blue Screen of Death

The blue screen of death also known as BSOD is a very common system error that causes the system to crash or locks up. There are many causes for this error: Bad dll, incorrect device drivers, bad memory, damaged windows registry, etc. It is a scary experience when it occurs. It often happens unexpectedly, usually when you are working or restarting the computer. Some blue screen errors are solved just by restarting your system, although others can be harder to fix. A blue screen error can often be resolved with the System Restore utility. The utility can undo the error that may have caused it.

Instruction 

•    Insert your Windows 7 installation disks into your PC.

•    Restart your computer.

•    Look for the prompt "Press any key to boot from CD/DVD" and press "Enter." 

•    Select your language preferences and click "Next."

•    Select "Repair your computer." Choose "Windows 7" from the list and click "Next." This launches the "System Recovery Options" screen.

•    Choose the "System Restore" option from the menu. This will open the "System Restore" page. Click "Next."

•    Select "Choose a different restore point" and click "Next."

•  Select a restore point from the list and click "Next." Choose a restoration point prior to your blue screen error.

•  Click "Finish." System Restore is restoring your computer to a point prior to the time that the blue screen error occurred.
