How to Change the Windows Wireless Firewall Settings

Posted on 02:06 by Unknown
Windows firewall is a part of the security system. It is designed to block any unauthorized access and only permit authorized communication, in the computer security authentication process. When one wants to implement computer or network security, there are two types of computer security, which can be implemented. You can either opt for a hardware firewall or software firewall. Both of them are able to protect a computer from unauthorized access. Windows Firewall comes installed on all editions of Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7, and you can access its settings through the Control Panel.

The below mentioned guide will help you to set windows wireless firewall.

Steps to turning Windows Firewall On and Off (Windows XP)

Step1: Click on “start” menu->”control panel”->”Security Center”
Step2: Click on “windows firewall “to open the "Windows Firewall" dialog box. Select the "General" tab, and use the radio buttons to turn Windows Firewall on or off.
Step3: Check the "Block All Incoming Connections" box to prevent all Internet traffic from reaching your computer.

Password Recovery by Graphical Password Logon in windows 8

Posted on 23:15 by Unknown

Microsoft already declared windows 8 will be the official name for its next-generation, which is a series of operating systems produced by Microsoft for use personal computer like business desktops, laptops, netbooks, tablet PCs, and media center PCs etc.

Windows 8 achieves such super-fast booting is that it doesn't quite shut down in the traditional sense. Instead, it uses a fast boot that's a hybrid of "cold" booting and hibernating. Green minds should rest assured that there's "effectively zero watt power draw when off," while those who like the clean start of a real boot up can look forward to a "fresh session after boot."

The need for fast boot times is crucial, because so many people still regularly boot and restart their machines. According to the Building Windows 8 blog post, 57 percent of desktop PC users and 45 percent of laptop users still shut down their machines instead of putting them to sleep.
Windows 8 offers a number of new Windows 8 features from its all new UI to Windows App Store and improvised security features.

Although Window 8 will launch in 2012, there are many rumors about the features of the forthcoming operating system, like App Store, ARM Processor Support, History Vault, Instant-On and Improved Power Settings, Multi-Touch Interface Support, Really Fast Install, and so on.

Microsoft also said that  password login will be on graphical mode and also touch operation ,is available for windows 8. Some of the codes are similar to the graphical codes of Android. That means that there're two ways available in the new operating system: traditional text password and graphical codes. You can easily perform Windows 8 password recovery through the graphical password logon method after you forgot Windows 8 password.

Somebody can easily think about the performance of Windows 8 password recovery when you forgot its traditional text password. In that case, you can simply logon Windows 8 with the graphical password. A graphical password is easier than a text-based password for most people to remember. While on the other side, it may offer better security than text-based passwords. So if you are able to set a graphical password, please use it instead of the text password to protect authorized access from your computer files.

After learning the new feature Windows 8 graphical password logon, you will never worry about forgetting Windows 8 password, as it can easily help you get into your computer and perform the forgotten Windows 8 password recovery.

Microsoft officially unveiled Windows 8 and some of its new features at the Taipei Computex 2011 in Taipei and at the D9 conference in California On June 1, 2011, but for more details, please expect the BUILD conference held by Microsoft for developers on Windows 8 in September.
